Dooher’s Bakery opened its doors in 1949 when Harry and Muriel Dooher used a small wood-fired oven and a manually pumped water tank to bake their goods. Now, 70 years later, the shop remains family owned and operated. Dooher’s is known in its community for its morning goods and sweet desserts, as well as the bakery’s unwavering support for the community through regular philanthropic activities. This is the bakery’s second year in a row winning first place in The Sweetest Bakery in Canada™ contest.
